The new and revolutionary concept proved to be one of the highlights of the show and received very positive feedback from visitors. For those who were unfortunate and not able to visit our stand at the ECS a brief introduction to our latest development can be found in this news item.

The principal idea of the HP500 dispenser seems obvious: combine the strengths of a sequential Harbil turntable dispenser with the strengths of a simultaneous dispenser. But by doing so we’ve created a new concept that addresses some of the most critical issues that simultaneous dispensers face in the marketplace today.

Features of the HP500
  • The HP500 features both sequential and simultaneous dispensing based upon our reliable and proven piston pump technology. The flexible setup of the system enables you to dispense all your recipes up to 100% simultaneously adapting the HP500 to your most demanding needs.
  • A very small footprint and a low refill height of approximately 1.15m assure that the use of valuable floor space is limited to a minimum.
  • The maintenance free dispense head of the HP500 ensures that all the nozzles are closed airtight when the dispenser is not in action thus preventing colorants from drying in the nozzle over time.
Right after dispensing the unique nozzle closer will shut the nozzles airtight again and a brush subsequently cleans the flat surface of the dispense head leaving behind a spotless surface. This prevents colorants from drying on the surface and/or colorants contaminating each other on the surface thus minimising the risk of mistints dramatically (see photo''s).
  • The pump-canister assembly provides the HP500 with a very high level of serviceability. By only disconnecting the two connector plugs that are attached to the electronics of each dispense line the complete pump-canister assembly can be removed from the dispenser. Next the canister can be emptied and separated from the pump assembly.
Because the removal of the pump-canister assembly has been made so easy it can even be done by the operator. You could consider a scenario where the operator replaces the pump-canister assembly by a new one and sends the old one to a central service location for maintenance/repair. This could save service organisations valuable time in travelling. Next to a very good serviceability every dispense line has a separate stirring motor enabling individual and programmable stirring per canister. The simple electronics limit the wiring to a minimum. (see photo''s).

Next steps
In the coming months the concept will be enhanced further. Next to this the dispenser will go through an extensive test programme with customer specific pigments. This phase will result in a few functional test machines that will be available for market assessment at several customers. Of course you will be notified accordingly.
